The Saudi Central Bank has approved the use of “Visitor ID” to open bank accounts in Saudi Arabia.
Issued by the Ministry of Interior, the ID will be an official identification document for visitors and can be verified through digital platforms.
This move aims to improve the visitor experience, simplify banking, and boost digital transformation in Saudi Arabia’s financial sector.
