  • Freezing Rent Increases in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia has frozen residential and commercial rent increases in Riyadh for the next 5 years under new regulations approved by royal decree from September 25th, 2025.

Landlords cannot raise rents on existing or new contracts within Riyadh and all leases must be registered on the Ejar platform.

This move aims to stabilize rising rental prices in the rapidly growing capital of Saudi Arabia.
